This fabulous and easy-to-look-after plant is very popular. The Spider Plant got world-wide attention in 1984 when NASA first released research findings showing its ability to remove indoor air pollutants.
Enjoys bright light, but not direct hot sun; morning sunlight is fine. Can tolerate a shady spot, but might loose its colorful variegation if kept in shade for long.
Keep evenly moist, but allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. In winter, reduce the amount of water. Feed regularly in spring and summer with a half-strength general liquid houseplant fertilizer. Mist the foliage frequently to raise the humidity and to keep the leaves clean.
